The Town of Spring Prairie mows the roadsides of all town roads two to three times per growing season. The first mowing can be anytime from late May to late June; the second mowing is late July to mid-August, and the final mowing of the season can be anytime after mid September until the snow flies.

Roadsides are mowed to aid in sightlines, to retard growth of unwanted weed species, to improve the overal appearance of our Town, and to aid in snow removal. Please do not place any items in the roadside ditch area of your property if this is an area mowed by the Town. Wood, plastic, concrete, etc. are very hard on the mower, and can become unwanted and unexpected projectiles when struck by the mower and/or tractor. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated!
