Please be aware of scams coming through emails pretending to be public officials sending documents, links, or invoices! Scammers are becoming more and more sophisticated and have in recent months began stealing information from public facing websites, emails, ect and are using that information to send fake emails to residents with viruses and attempts to gain banking information. 

DO NOT OPEN ATTACHMENTS, CLICK LINKS, OR SEND MONEY WITHOUT FIRST VERIFYING WITH THE GOVERNMENT AGENCY THAT THE REQUEST IS LEGITIMATE!

One such email went out this week claiming to be from the East Troy Fire Chief - it is not just in big cities, it is local, so please be aware and share this information especially with your elderly friends and neighbors as they are a prime target. 

The Town of Spring Prairie will not send password protected documents, invoices, or unrequested/unotified links by email. 

Please report any suspicious emails claiming to be from the Town of Spring Prairie to the Clerk by forwarding the email to [email protected] or calling 262-642-7477.
