QUORUM NOTICE

TOWN OF SPRING PRAIRIE

It is probable that a quorum of the Town of Spring Prairie Board will be present at a budgetary planning meeting on Tuesday October 8th, from 8:30am to 10:30am comprised of the Clerk-Treasurer and members of the town board. No town business will be conducted or voted upon; this is strictly a planning session for 2025.

This budgetary meeting will be held at the Spring Prairie Town Hall, N6097 State Road 120, Burlington WI 53105.

A quorum is the minimum number of a governmental body’s membership necessary to act. One governmental body may define what constitutes a quorum differently than another governmental body. For example, our Town Board is made up of 3 members, therefore a quorum is anytime 2 board members are present together.

Per Wis Statutes: 60.20 (2) Quorum. Two supervisors constitute a quorum of a 3-member town board, 3 supervisors constitute a quorum of a 4-member or 5-member town board, and 4 supervisors constitute a quorum of a 7-member town board under s. 60.21 (3).
